Many brides wonder why they would need an extra bridal slip if there is crinoline already built into their wedding gown. The fact is, without a slip or crinoline, your wedding gown can be droopy or fall in unflattering folds. On the other hand, you do not want your dress to appear overstuffed. We know you want to find just the right wedding petticoat for your wedding day, and we are here to help! Our convenient Wedding Petticoat FAQ is designed to answer all of your most frequently asked questions so you may make an educated choice when purchasing wedding undergarments and avoid untimely returns.
A: Yes! Often the amount of crinoline built into the gown is simply not enough. Bridal dress models featured in magazines often wear an additional wedding petticoat under the dress to achieve ultimate fullness. In most cases, if you want your wedding gown to look just like the picture in the magazine, you will need to purchase a crinoline slip to wear under the dress to achieve the desired effect.
A: Some of our slips, such as the Mia Medium Fullness Hoop Slip are created with yards of Scratchless netting. Others are constructed with a smooth underlining that will protect your legs from being scratched by the tulle of your wedding petticoats.
A: YES! We always give a discount to customers ordering multiple slips. Just contact us using our convenient contact form for more information. Please include the style and number of slips you are interested in purchasing.
A: The Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) of 2008 was enacted to establish consumer product safety standards and other safety requirements for children’s products and to reauthorize and modernize the Consumer Product Safety Commission. A: It is important to remember that wedding petticoat sizes must always be chosen based on your waist measurement, not by a pant or dress size you may be wearing. Check out our handy Body Measurements Guide for instructions on obtaining your correct waist measurement. Then use the size chart located in the details of each specific bridal crinoline to determine the correct size.
A: Yes. As long as you measured your waist correctly, you should always follow the sizes on the size chart located in the details of each specific wedding petticoat. Bridal crinolines often run larger than regular clothing sizes. It is important to never attempt to squeeze into a smaller size than your actual measurements, as this can cause unsightly bulging under your bridal gown. Improperly fitted clothing can also cause damage to the skin and tissue under the garment.
A: Measurements are the key factor when selecting the proper wedding petticoat for your particular bridal gown. Please see our How to Measure for Wedding Dress Slip page for complete measuring details.
