One of the biggest fashion trends this spring is the midi, aka the mid-calf length hem (also known as the tea length hem.) I found this white midi by Donna Karan on Style.com. This style could be easily adjusted to create a beautifully elegant bridal gown. I think I’d lose the jacket and soften the dress a bit with some sheer lace, which is also hot this spring. I just can’t seem to get away from the celebrity weddings this week! This morning I watched as Elisabeth Hasselbeck announced on The View that Sherri Shepherd had asked her to be a bridesmaid in her upcoming wedding. It seems like only yesterday that Sherri was determined to maintain her vow of celibacy now, and now she is suddenly planning a wedding.

Sherri has also requested that Barbara Walters, her boss at The View,  hire a stripper for the bridal shower she has been asked to plan for Sherri. We’ll be watching to see what Sherri has in mind for her upcoming nuptials!

Remember Jodie Sweetin from Full House? She’s engaged as well. The 29 year old was celebrating her birthday with family and friends when boyfriend, Morty Coyle, popped the question.

Thirty years after the death of Princess Grace, son Prince Albert II of Monaco has announced his engagement to South African Olympic swimmer, Charlene Wittstock. Giorgio Armani is said to be designing Wittstock’s bridal gown for  the July 2 wedding.

Rumor has it Serena Williams is sporting a new engagement ring from hip-hop star, Common (yeah, I’ve never heard of him either.)

Natalie Portman is another celeb to watch this spring as she plans her own wedding to Benjamin Millepied.
