Real Wedding Inspiration: Gwen & Kevin
As soon as I heard Pennsylvania, farm and goats I knew this would be an unforgettable wedding. I was so right. This October I had the privilege of attending a beautiful fall wedding on the coveted farmlands near Newport, Pennsylvania. I had never met Gwen and Kevin (I went with one of their guests), the bride and groom, but I feel I really got to know them through the personal details of their intimate wedding. The ceremony took place inside the home of close friends–a farm house and converted church. Being so far from town, and therefore most people’s hotels, the couple arranged buses to get the guests to and from the wedding–a nice touch especially for those who took advantage of the open bar. There were so many beautiful details that brought this wedding to life, but nothing was more lovely than the natural, stunning fall backdrop, except of course the couple.
I asked Gwen to share her wedding inspiration. Here is what she said.
Halloween Wedding Inspiration
Go gothic chic for a totally spook-tacular Halloween wedding! Incorporate classic gothic elements into your ceremony, playing with the contrast of a deep obsidian and stark white color palate. Carry the eerie gothic style into the reception or lighten it up with a costume party. Challenge your guests to see who can come up with the most creative costume and reward the winner with a special treat. Kids and kids at heart will love the sticky sweet candy bar full of candy corn and carmel apples. Candles are your aesthetic centerpieces. Use them to create spooky shadows and light your way through your beautifully haunting wedding night.

Falling in Love: Autumn Wedding Inspiration
Close your eyes. Inhale the crisp fall air. Drink in the last remaining warmth of the sun’s rays. The Details: Colors surround you this fall. Look to nature for a color palate of blazing reds, burnt oranges, rustic yellows, forest greens, birch whites and maple browns.
