Happy Thanksgiving from our family here at Knot the Groom! Today, in honor of this very American (and delicious) holiday, we are talking about food. More specifically, the sweet treats popping up everywhere, from bakeries to Starbucks, and making their way onto wedding reception dessert tables.

As soon as I heard Pennsylvania, farm and goats I knew this would be an unforgettable wedding. I was so right. This October I had the privilege of attending a beautiful fall wedding on the coveted farmlands near Newport, Pennsylvania. I had never met Gwen and Kevin (I went with one of their guests), the bride and groom, but I feel I really got to know them through the personal details of their intimate wedding. The ceremony took place inside the home of close friends–a farm house and converted church. Being so far from town, and therefore most people’s hotels, the couple arranged buses to get the guests to and from the wedding–a nice touch especially for those who took advantage of the open bar. There were so many beautiful details that brought this wedding to life, but nothing was more lovely than the natural, stunning fall backdrop, except of course the couple.
