Partying Poolside: Summer Wedding Inspiration

Posted on June 12th, 2012 by annalemberger

When a friend of mine told me she would be attending a wedding with a post-nuptuals pool party I was initially a little thrown. Backstrokes and bikinis are not typical elements of a wedding or reception. However, with a little forethought and creativity, a pool or poolside soiree is really a fun way to enjoy the weather and to make your summer wedding unique. Plus it is a great alternative for couples who want the feel of a tropical, destination wedding without the travel hassle and cost. Check out my ideas below for different ways to use the swimming pool as a setting for your wedding.

Spring Pastels Wedding Inspiration

Posted on April 9th, 2012 by annalemberger

I hope everyone is enjoying a lovely spring break and delicious chocolate Easter bunnies! I know I am. Spring is definitely in the air and gardens everywhere are bursting with color. Nothing says spring quite like beautiful pastel shades of pink, yellow, blue and green. Take a cue from nature and color your wedding with soft but vibrant pastel hues. These splashes of color are sure to put a spring in even your grumpy uncle’s step. If you start feeling surrounded by flowery perfumes, try a popular twist on the wedding bouquet with one made entirely of brooches. It is a great way to incorporate your “something old” and it will last forever!

Blue and Silver Flower Girl Inspiration

Posted on January 22nd, 2012 by annalemberger

Let your flower girl shine as she leads you and your wedding party down the aisle. In addition to flowers, the little darling will spread smiles with a skip in her step and a charming princess dress.  I love the look of an icy blue and silver wedding, especially for winter, and your flower girl will look great in those colors as well. Your flower girl is an important symbol of innocence, beauty and future children; show the young lady appreciation with a personalized gift. A charm bracelet is something cute she can wear the day of the wedding and have as a keepsake!

Real Wedding Inspiration: Gwen & Kevin

Posted on November 5th, 2011 by annalemberger

As soon as I heard Pennsylvania, farm and goats I knew this would be an unforgettable wedding. I was so right. This October I had the privilege of attending a beautiful fall wedding on the coveted farmlands near Newport, Pennsylvania. I had never met Gwen and Kevin (I went with one of their guests), the bride and groom, but I feel I really got to know them through the personal details of their intimate wedding. The ceremony took place inside the home of close friends–a farm house and converted church. Being so far from town, and therefore most people’s hotels, the couple arranged buses to get the guests to and from the wedding–a nice touch especially for those who took advantage of the open bar.  There were so many beautiful details that brought this wedding to life, but nothing was more lovely than the natural, stunning fall backdrop, except of course the couple.

I asked Gwen to share her wedding inspiration. Here is what she said.
