Color of the Year: Radiant Orchid

Posted on January 13th, 2014 by annalemberger

pantone radiant orchid

The color experts at Pantone have named Radiant Orchid the 2014 color of the year. These color lovers chose Radiant Orchid for the way it “emanates great joy, love and health.”  Those are certainly wonderful traits to infuse into your own wedding!  Orchids are wonderful inspiration for any time of year but especially for a warm, summer ceremony. And nothing says summer like soft sand between your toes. Orchids make the perfect beach wedding flower, from bright boutonnieres to blooming, fragrant cakes.  If you can’t have a destination wedding in Hawaii, just close your eyes and inhale that radiant orchid smell and you’ll be transported to an island in no time.

Feel glamorous, feminine, and fresh at a sparkling silver and lavender toned wedding! The greyed-down purple Rhapsody pairs well with the neutral Titanium from Pantone’s Fall Color Report and are an especially perfect combination for those chillier months. Glittering details in your accessories, table decor, and even the cake will give your wedding an edgier, party feel as you move from the ceremony to the dance floor. It is your special day, after all; so step out as a newlywed with a little flash!

Sunshine and Bellflower Spring Wedding Inspiration

Posted on March 20th, 2012 by annalemberger

Spring has come early this year for most of the country. This beautiful weather has me itching to slip into bright sundresses and crash as many spring weddings as possible. This spring I hope to see one of my favorite spring color combinations Solar Power and Bellflower (Pantone). See my board for a little inspiration of your own! You can also score a great deal this week on those sweet little slippers. One of our own at KTG got these ballet slippers for her daughter to wear at a wedding reception and says she loved them. These soft, classy slippers are perfect for a wedding reception and will keep little girls on their twinkle toes.

Real Wedding Inspiration: Gwen & Kevin

Posted on November 5th, 2011 by annalemberger

As soon as I heard Pennsylvania, farm and goats I knew this would be an unforgettable wedding. I was so right. This October I had the privilege of attending a beautiful fall wedding on the coveted farmlands near Newport, Pennsylvania. I had never met Gwen and Kevin (I went with one of their guests), the bride and groom, but I feel I really got to know them through the personal details of their intimate wedding. The ceremony took place inside the home of close friends–a farm house and converted church. Being so far from town, and therefore most people’s hotels, the couple arranged buses to get the guests to and from the wedding–a nice touch especially for those who took advantage of the open bar.  There were so many beautiful details that brought this wedding to life, but nothing was more lovely than the natural, stunning fall backdrop, except of course the couple.

I asked Gwen to share her wedding inspiration. Here is what she said.
