I’ve been down and out with the flu the past several days, the weather man is predicting bitter cold here this week… and I am ready to start thinking about Spring! While the groundhog may not have seen his shadow last week, let’s face it, I live in Wisconsin. We’ve got at least six more weeks of winter weather here, no matter what Puxatony Phil or any other groundhog has to say on the matter.
I hear ice encrusted Atlanta is expecting to hit the 70s later this week, and man am I jealous! However, instead of wallowing in the depths of despair over the weather, I’ve decided to spend the day today looking at warm weather pictures in an attempt to will myself into feeling better.
I’ve been digging around all morning, looking for stock photos and combing my favorite wedding blogs. The sun is shining in my office window, and I’m getting warmer by the minute!
I found this image, at left, of a bride dressed warmly for an early spring wedding, and I thought this was the best place to start my countdown to spring. I’m imagining my crocuses poking up, one by one, and the now frozen row of lilac bushes down the block from me… Those lilacs will burst to life one day soon, and they will become my impetus to get out and start walking every day again!
