White Lace Wedding Inspiration

Posted on July 9th, 2012 by annalemberger

Vintage-inspired lace details are making a statement on bridal runways this year. Lace evokes a sense of timeless elegance and delegate beauty that is appropriate for any bride and wedding theme, from elegant to rustic. Pair lace details with other white fabrics and elements, like satin and ostrich feathers. Emphasizing texture and pattern over color creates a truly unique look that shows off the beauty of subtle and intricate details.

Partying Poolside: Summer Wedding Inspiration

Posted on June 12th, 2012 by annalemberger

When a friend of mine told me she would be attending a wedding with a post-nuptuals pool party I was initially a little thrown. Backstrokes and bikinis are not typical elements of a wedding or reception. However, with a little forethought and creativity, a pool or poolside soiree is really a fun way to enjoy the weather and to make your summer wedding unique. Plus it is a great alternative for couples who want the feel of a tropical, destination wedding without the travel hassle and cost. Check out my ideas below for different ways to use the swimming pool as a setting for your wedding.

Red and Ivory Valentine Wedding Inspiration

Posted on January 28th, 2012 by annalemberger

Two hearts become one at a wedding inspired by the romance of Valentine’s Day. Pops of red look classically stunning against a backdrop of ivory and sandy tones. Imagine the bride in an ivory gown clutching a lush red bouquet while her bridesmaids lead the way in gossip-worthy red pumps. The groom and his men will look handsome with splashes-of-red boutonnieres. Remember this special day with a unique sand unity ceremony.

Wedding Inspirations: Silver Bells Winter Wedding

Posted on November 15th, 2010 by Mandy Webster

Silver winter themed wedding with silver shoesThis silver wedding theme brings to mind that old Christmas song, “Silver Bells,” and really puts me in the mood for the holidays. I absolutely love the bride’s white fur wrap as a backdrop for these startling red calla lilies. And, the snowflakes and silver table dressings really pull the winter theme together.

Silver is a great color for the bride and bridesmaids’ shoes and handbags. The silver wedding shoes are also very versatile and can be worn again and again with a variety of evening gowns and other formal attire. And the delicate silver evening purse is an equally versatile piece.

Carry the silver wedding theme through all of your wedding accessories with a contemporary silver and rhinestone jewelry set or a more traditional string of freshwater pearls enhanced by a personalized silver pendant.

Silver unity candle sets, lettered rhinestone and crystal cake toppers and the Platinum Hearts wedding ceremony programs are all excellent complements to this silver wedding theme. Instead of the traditional wedding guest book, try a signature picture frame with an engraved silver mat.

For the reception, use silver picture frames featuring your favorite pictures of the bride and groom as wedding table centerpieces. Add a splash of color to your silver centerpieces with a crystal clear wedding reception vase overflowing with the same red calla lilies as shown in the bride’s wedding bouquet at left. Add silver holiday decorations and sparkling white snowflakes. Attach place cards to individual silver holiday decorations and give silver snowflake wine stoppers as wedding favors. Read more »

Wedding Inspirations: Winter Wonderland

Posted on November 4th, 2010 by Mandy Webster

Winter wedding collage with silver accentsWinter is on its way. It’s time to start thinking about those winter weddings. Whether you’re planning your nuptials for this winter or next, there is a wide variety of things you can do to set the right tone for your winter wonderland wedding.

Silver and snowflakes are a perfect mix for the winter wedding. The snowflake wine stoppers at right are fascinating wedding favors which can double as table decor. The cobalt blue wine bottle pictured with these creative wedding favors is perfect for the winter wedding.

The lettered rhinestone crystal cake toppers are perfect with a white wedding cake and white roses. Create your own fabulous monogram from these shining letters crafted of sterling silver-plated metal and accented with genuine Swarovski crystals. Each scripted letter is accented with sparkling stones.

While the silver flame glitter evening shoe may leave your delicate tootsies a little cool in the winter, I couldn’t help adding them to this inspiration board. The glittery silver just looks so right with the silver snowflake motif. Choose these for a wedding venue where you will be indoors for the most part, and grab a pair of fuzzy UGGs or something similar to keep your feet warm in case you do need to venture outside.

Check this Out:

-Check out this winter wedding on the Style Me Pretty bridal inspirations blog. I love the bride’s fur wrap, and the green of the bridesmaid dresses really POP against the snow in the background.

-Speaking of wraps, the ‘little winter bride: vintage indie wedding style’ blog has a great post on wedding boleros, shrugs and caplets.

-This winter wedding inspiration from Elizabeth Anne Designs is absolutely elegant.  I love the natural elements of the evergreens and pine cones mixed with miniature white calla lilies.
