Winter Wonderland Wedding Inspiration

Standing inside of the Metropolitan Museum of Art this weekend, I watched as snow drifted through the trees of Central Park and frosted the museum’s enormous glass ceiling. Although it is only October and I am not ready for snow, I could not help but be inspired as New York transformed into lovely winter wonderland. With winter now officially around the corner and winter brides-to-be in the throws of planning for the big day, it seems an appropriate time for a little winter wedding inspiration. Instead of furs, opt for white ostrich feathers for soft and snowflake like details. Crystal and diamonds create the perfect icy sheen as you skate to the alter, join hands with the love of your life, and promise that you will be together for many more winters to come. The Pros and Cons of Planning a Winter Wedding

Picture the bride, wrapped in a chic fur stole. An elegant bed and breakfast with stained glass windows decorated for a Victorian Christmas. Flower girls and bridesmaids in buttoned-up Victorian era boots under vintage gowns. But don’t stop there. While a winter wedding may the ideal backdrop for a vintage wedding, it’s also an excellent choice for a more modern wedding.

And don’t forget, you can save a lot of money when planning a winter wedding! Winter is generally considered the ‘off’ season as far as weddings are concerned. So, you may be able to find tons of discounts on wedding items during these colder months.
