Last week was full of apprehension, shaking windows, and relentless rain as I rode out storm Sandy with millions of others. Thankfully, D.C. was spared the full force of Sandy’s wrath – I didn’t even have to break out my flashlight. With D.C. shut down for two days, I had a lot of time to think about the supplies and other essentials I wish I had while hunkered down at home. Take a look at some of my favorite products at KTG. And to all of our friends and family affected by the storm, we are thinking about you. Stay safe.
Utility
Everyone needs a good multitool or utility knife and a flashlight, especially in an emergency situation. This brilliant multi tool pliers even has a built in light so you can see where you are working!
One of the most essential needs during an emergency is clean drinking water. Days before Sandy, people were buying bottled water faster than the stores could stock the shelves. While I bought a few jugs myself, I also took advantage of our still functioning tap system to fill up jars and bottles, like these portable aluminum water bottles.
