Johnathan Kayne, designer of Knot The Groom’s fabulous line of Johnathan Kayne Shoes is set to host Oklahoma City’s first ever televised fashion show tonight. The Spooks and Sparkles event will feature a $1,000 costume contest and hair and makeup lounge plus the main event: the fashion show.
Kayne’s career took off after his appearance on season three of Project Runway, where he finished in the top five. After Project Runway, Kayne continued his fashion career at The Johnathan Kayne Design Studio in Norman, Oklahoma. There, Johnathan Kayne continues to create custom evening gowns and prom gowns for clients around the world. In collaboration with the Benjamin Walk Corporation, Kayne also established the Johnathan Kayne Shoe collection. His fabulous evening and prom shoes are also worn by bridesmaids across the nation.
Kayne and his staff were featured on the TLC summer special, “Gown Crazy” in the summer of 2009. He travels across the nation making appearances on behalf of a number of charitable organizations, including “It’s My Prom,” which promotes safe choices during prom season. He is also a founding member of “4 Healthy Kids,” a Norman elementary school system organization which is active in and promotes healthy life styles in children. Kayne works tirelessly for the American Cancer Association and the American Heart Association. His newest endeavor is the establishment of “OKC Fashion Week,” which is schedules to run for the first time in the spring of 2011.
Johnathan Kayne’s Spooks and Sparkles fashion event takes place tonight at the Rok Bar located in downtown Oklahoma City at 119 E. California.
