All this month look for wedding boards and ideas inspired by this year’s Oscars nominees for best picture from KTG blogger Anna. Today’s inspiration: Hugo.
My first thought when I saw the images and artistry of best-picture nominee Hugo was “steampunk“. What better way to embody your “something old” and “something new” than with a time bending, steampunk styled wedding! The stylistic elements of the steampunk movement standout with futuristic yet classic Victorian-era pieces. Modern innovations with a Victorian sheen help create a unique, out of place look. Top hats, corsets, gears, spectacles and timepieces are all steampunk staples. A mix of soft fabric, metallic hardware and rustic leather give a steampunk inspired wedding a truly multidimensional feel. See how real couples went full steam ahead with this look in our “check it out” section below.
